Boo-Hiss to John McCain

It appears that McCain's newfound love affair with the radical right has gotten him in a bit of trouble. Unfortunately the trouble is with a population of liberal 21 year olds, ~85% of whom won't be bothering to vote this year...

It's really too bad that the grown up moderates and liberals of America are too busy doing other things too react so vehemently to a visit by John McCain. Not that he necessarily deserves the boos as much as a list of more nutso people i can think of (like maybe his friend, Jerry Falwell... you know the one that said Tinky Winky was gay...), but at least he's being made aware that sucking the GOP's *ahem* big toe is not the way to maintain one's "bucking the system," independent reputation.

Of course the whole thing is just politics, and he's just trying to get elected, but I really hope that his middle-of-the-road face has been sullied enough by this most recent batch of politicking that the middle of the road people are disinclined to vote for him. That is, if they're registered.
